Shalom Ebunoluwa Ajanaku

Shalom Ebunoluwa Ajanaku is an enthusiastic and dedicated second-year medical student at All Saints University, School of Medicine. Originally from Ekiti State, Nigeria.

In her role at AMSA, Shalom is committed to advancing the organization’s mission to inspire and empower future physicians through education, advocacy, and service. She aims to create a collaborative environment where medical students can engage in meaningful discussions and initiatives that tackle critical healthcare issues, with a particular focus on environmental justice and its impact on health policy.

Throughout her academic journey, Shalom has shown a strong commitment to both her studies and extracurricular activities. She has actively participated in AMSA, previously serving as the Assistant Public Relations Officer and is currently the Vice President (MD) in the Dominican Chapter. These roles have allowed her to develop her leadership, teamwork, and community outreach skills. Her dedication to public health, medical research, and patient care is evident through her involvement in health fairs, seminars, outreaches, and various community service activities.

Shalom’s vision for her tenure at AMSA includes developing and promoting policies that address environmental health disparities and advocating for sustainable practices within healthcare. She believes in the power of student voices to effect change and is eager to work alongside her peers to promote a more equitable and effective healthcare system.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Shalom enjoys watching movies, traveling, and visiting new places, which provide a well-rounded balance to her demanding medical training.

Shalom looks forward to contributing to the AMSA community and is excited about the opportunities to collaborate with fellow medical students, faculty, and healthcare professionals to make a positive impact on the future of medicine.
