FACULTY ADVISORS

At AMSA, we recognize the crucial role that faculty advisors play in fostering the growth and success of AMSA chapters. Faculty advisors serve as a critical link between the chapter and the academic institution, offering valuable guidance and support to student leaders and members.

• Review monthly e-communications from AMSA: Monthly AMSA Faculty Rounds, opt-in here
• Help distribute the news to on-campus members
  • Hand-pick programs that you feel may best align with your school’s priorities — and ensure your leaders or members are aware.
  • Offer student leaders guidance to garner visibility of timely news or events (point them to school communications managers for inclusion in newsletter, socials, digital displays, etc.)
• Serve as liaison between AMSA and your student body
  • Help leaders or members navigate any administrative processes — or to keep them aware of national opportunities they may have missed. You can reach out to members@amsa.org at any time if there are any questions.
• Encourage student attendance at Future Physicians for Change (FP4C)
  • Our annual National Convention is an incredible learning opportunity to advocate to legislators, present posters, network, participate in SIM competitions and more.
