I AM A LOOKING TO GO

Trevor Lyford

Vice President for Leadership Development

My name is Trevor Lyford and I am originally (and proudly) from LaGrange, Maine. I have an Honors Degree in Public Health from Brown University, a Masters in Public Health from The Milken Institute of Public Health at George Washington University, and am in my third year of medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. I am involved with a few interesting things in medicine, mainly improving access to rural healthcare, expanding visibility of first-generation / low-income student groups, exploring human values in medicine, and AMSA (of course!).

At AMSA, I am the current Vice President of Leadership Development on the Board of Trustees. In the past, I have served two terms as the AMSA National Health Policy Chair and one term as the Environmental Justice Policy Coordinator. Outside of medicine, I enjoy a fire in the backyard with my wife and our two dogs (Lucy and Evie), watching The Office for the zillionth time, or closely following all New England professional sports teams.
