Livas Kwarisiima

Course Director, Public Health

Livas Kwarisiima is a fourth year medical student at the American University of Barbados, school of medicine currently doing her clerkship in Chicago. She is a Healthy and Environmentally friendly Youth (HEY) ambassador under the Ashley Lashley Foundation. She is the founder of the LKH foundation, Uganda which has the sole objective of amplifying the vision and goals of the United Nations Development Program. She is a 2022 youth ambassador delegate and youth activist, passionate about seeing the youth of her generation thriving in their different capacities and taking on administrative roles.

Livas is an aspiring pediatrician and loves to engage in community service. She is thrilled to serve as a course director for the AMSA Public Health Scholars Program. She has been part of AMSA since 2021. She serves as the clinical liaison as well as chair of the Global Health Action Committee at her local AMSA chapter; AUB. Livas is mostly concerned with and passionate about advocacy and elimination of health disparities especially in underprivileged communities. Her hobbies outside of medicine are fashion design and traveling.
