Haley Marber is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Miami, pursuing a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Science in Genomic Medicine. At the University of Miami, she works as a reproductive health advocate to help patients navigate barriers to contraception and abortion. Haley’s involvement in AMSA began at the Reproductive Health Institute, where she was able to connect with students and physicians from across the country and advocate on Capitol Hill for legislation promoting the expansion of reproductive healthcare access. She then served as AMSA’s Gender and Sexuality Coordinator from 2020-2021, and she has also acted as a course facilitator for Reproductive Health Project online courses. Haley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science, Technology, and Society from Pomona College and Master of Science in Sociomedical Sciences from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. A passionate advocate for promoting gender and sexuality equity in healthcare and beyond, Haley is eager to roll up her sleeves and get to work as the Women’s Advocacy Coordinator.
