I AM A LOOKING TO GO

Sandi Assaf

Course Director, Medical Humanities

Sandi is currently working at Cedars-Sinai as a Clinical Research Associate during her gap year while she applies to medical school. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She served as the president for her local AMSA Chapter for two years, and initiated several community-wide initiatives focused on addressing health disparities in underserved groups. She has also used her anthropological training to approach medicine with cultural and social considerations in mind. During her free time, Sandi enjoys cooking for the unhoused in her community. She is excited to apply her experiences as a course director, and to further the discussion for considerations in patient care.
