Eboni Peoples


Peoples, a medical student at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, has a passion for improving services to underserved communities. She holds a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree in Health Education and Behavior, both from the University of Florida.

While in medical school, Peoples served as Student Government President and conducted independent research analyzing the testing and treatment of the Hepatitis C virus. She spearheaded a worksite breast cancer screening for university employees and participated in a plethora of health fairs.

Last year, Peoples served as a national leader in the role of Advocacy Coordinator for the Race, Ethnicity, and Culture in Health committee. Peoples has a personal goal to bridge the communication gap between patients and providers, introduce cultural sensitivity, and eliminate the disparity between affluent and impoverished neighborhoods.
