Nikitha Balaji

Nikitha Balaji is a first-year medical student at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. They are originally from Melbourne, Florida and graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During their gap years, they got involved in AMSA for the first time, learning about Health Justice in AMSA’s Scholars Program and serving as AMSA National’s LGBT+ Health Advocacy Coordinator. They now serve as AMSA’s Gender and Sexuality Health Policy Coordinator. Nikitha looks forward to working alongside their fellow AMSA members during this critical time when reproductive and LGBT+ health is under attack by leveraging health policy in the interest of equity for all!
