Kyla Swain

Kyla is a fourth year medical student at Trinity School of Medicine, currently completing her clerkships in central Georgia. Born and raised in Downers Grove, IL, she got her start studying Bioengineering at the University of Illinois.

With leadership and community service always standing at the forefront of her education, Kyla has served as a tutor to her peers, worked on the executive board of multiple student organizations, and volunteered at free health clinics in the community.

Over the past several years, Kyla has become increasingly involved in reproductive justice through AMSA and Medical Students for Choice. She has used the training and experience gained from these organizations to found a new chapter of MSFC at her school, as well as immerse herself in AMSA’s advocacy network at both a local and national level. She hopes to continue to advocate for her patients throughout her career as an Ob-Gyn.

In her free time, Kyla enjoys hiking, practicing the French horn, and playing with her two rabbits, Minerva and Artemis.
