AMSA Web Content Internship – Apply Now!
AMSA has an internship opening for a proactive member who is looking to build experience in content writing for the web, networking, and information-gathering. The task of the internship will be to source, compile, and develop website content for the Health Activist Dinner that is hosted every year during the American Public Health Association (APHA) meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with AMSA alumni and staff while gaining practical experience.
SeaCouver Study Tour – Registration Deadline March 14
SeaCouver: a 4-day program Seattle and Vancouver, providing education on the intricacies of the US and Canadian healthcare systems. Go beyond basic facts by visiting premiere healthcare institutions, hospitals and clinics to witness care firsthand, and hear from experts in the field. SeaCouver participants also conduct “on-the-street” interviews to hear people’s perspectives of their healthcare system.
C.A.R.E. Clinic Volunteer Opportunity – 4/9/2016
The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, in conjunction with the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics, will be holding a C.A.R.E. Clinic – a one-day free health clinic event for the medically underserved. The clinic will offer basic medical care, health education, connections to aftercare, on-site insurance navigators, and will mail the patients free three-month supplies of most commonly needed medications as prescribed by the physicians who volunteer at the event.
