Raiza is a rising third year medical student dedicated to future work in international relief and assistance. She earned her bachelors degree in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (Go ILLINI!). She is passionate about utilizing her position as a National AMSA leader to spread awareness regarding current issues in climate change and its effects on healthcare. Raiza believes in the power of medical students coming together through collaboration and advocacy to make the necessary changes in our healthcare system. In her free time, Raiza enjoys riding horses, doing pilates, and hiking with friends.
