Paul Macaballug

Paul is a 3rd year medical student at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNRSOM). Paul also completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor’s in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. In medical school, he served as a leader for his local AMSA chapter for 2 years and founded the Mental Health Student Interest Group at his institution. He is now excited to be serving in his first year in a national leadership role, as the Chair for the Wellness and Student Life Action Committee.

In this role, Paul hopes to emphasize the importance of all aspects of health within medicine, including physical health, mental health, social health, spiritual health, etc., for patients as well as healthcare workers.
