Nadiya is a fourth-year medical student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She received a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Studies and Religious Studies from East Carolina University. Upon graduating college, Nadiya commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force with a commitment to serve as a military physician upon graduation.
Nadiya joined AMSA and became involved with local chapter leadership at the undergraduate level during her freshman year of college, and has been a proud member of AMSA ever since! She served as Co-President at her medical school’s chapter her first two years of medical school, as well as national Just Medicine Campaign Co-Chair her third year. She is excited for what AMSA’s Health Policy Committee can achieve this year!
