Dr. Ali Bokhari serves as the President of the American Medical Student Association. Prior to this, he has been involved in organized medicine, most recently as Councilor on the American Medical Association Council on Science and Public Health. Dr. Bokhari has a background serving at the White House, the U.S. Senate, the NYC Mayor’s Office, and in campaigns at the presidential, congressional, and local levels. He earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology and earned his master’s in public health from the Johns Hopkins University. He is interested in policy, health systems, economics, and grassroots campaign organizing. Upon completion of his tenure at AMSA, Dr. Bokhari plans to pursue a residency in internal medicine. In his free time, he enjoys running, watching reruns of The West Wing, and keeping up with the latest gossip in astrophysics.
