Advocacy Coordinator

August 21, 2019

Originally from Dublin, Ohio, Cynthia is currently a fourth year medical student at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. In addition to her medical degree, Cynthia is also pursuing her Masters of Arts degree in Medical Ethics and Humanities. Cynthia has been a member of AMSA since 2016, but really immersed herself in its fight for advocacy, medical education, and community development in February of 2019 upon attending the national convention. As the Professionalism and Ethics Advocacy Coordinator for the 2019-2020 year, Cynthia hopes to use her voice in collaboration with the rest of the team to promote its goals of promoting professionalism over commercialism, teamwork over isolation, patient safety, and patient centered care. In her free time, Cynthia enjoys serving as a companion for hospice and palliative care patients within the Akron area, painting, and spending time with her friends and family. She looks forward to serving the medical community as AMSA’s P&E Advocacy Coordinator and is exited to grow her AMSA family over the next couple months!
