Graduate Trustee

Ankita Mahajan, DO, MPH

Ankita is starting her OB/GYN residency at Midwestern University in Chicago, and is a recent graduate from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has previously earned a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Public Health with a focus in Social & Behavioral Health from the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Ankita is passionate about patient advocacy, women’s health, osteopathic medicine, and caring for underserved populations. She is determined to help bridge the gap between the public health and medical fields.

Ankita has been involved in AMSA since her freshman year of college and feels strongly about how much the organization has helped her develop professionally as a physician and personally as a leader. She founded and was the inaugural President of the AMSA chapter at her medical school and most recently, she was AMSA’s national Chair of Professionalism & Ethics. Ankita is delighted to continue serving AMSA at a national level as the Graduate Trustee. She is looking forward to an exciting year of alumni engagement, empowerment, and development. In her limited spare time, you can find Ankita curled up with a good book, cooking spicy foods, dancing, and spending time with her amazing family!
