The New Physician Magazine

The New Physician is the four-color, award-winning publication of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). Published nine times annually, we provide our 38,000 readers with the information they want and need to know-about applying and getting into residency; choosing a specialty; studying abroad; managing debt; understanding trends in medicine; working with new technologies; serving the needs of patients and much, much more.

About AMSA
Founded in 1950, AMSA is the oldest and largest, independent medical student organization in the United States. AMSA is committed to improving medical training and the nation's health through fostering physician development and leadership, especially in primary care, rural health and underserved populations. AMSA is comprised of 154 U.S. medical student chapters, 164 U.S. premedical chapters and 44 international chapters.
