| Summary of project | We held the event at a popular local coffee shop in their events room. We watched two films, "In Women's Hands" and "A Closer Walk" and had three speakers, the local AIDS Taskforce Prez and 2 GH committee members spoke briefly. We also raffled off an Ipod nano and 3 productRed items, raising $750 for the GlobalFund. |

| Funding breakdown of sources and/or donations: | We got the wine donated by a professor - 20 large bottles. The local coffee shop was willing to host the event for free. We co-sponsored the event with SOMA and International Programs ~$50 each. The GH committee members each put in about $10 of their own money towards purchasing the Ipod for raffling. |
| Project advertising | Advertised through mass emails, fliers around town and word-of-mouth. We started advertising the raffle 3 weeks in advance. 1 ticket/$1, 5ticket/$3 and 10tickets/$5 - this way people are more like to say, just give me 10 tickets! |

| Comments | Starting small is key, especially if you are trying to build an event. It won't go well if the first event is unorganized. Also, be sure to brainstorm the event well - know who all the key people are to contact at your school, who will be more likely to participate and donate. |
