Summary of project Dr. David Himmelstein of Harvard Medical School and Boston University’s Randall Ellis, PhD in Health Economics, debated on the topic of universal health care. Dr. Himmelstein represented a more comprehensive national single payer approach, whereas Dr. Ellis advocated for an incremental method of achieving single payer-like health care. Senator Patricia Jehlen of Massachusetts moderated the event and encouraged medical students to become more involved in shaping health policy.
