Summary of project This project involved 15 minute lunch presentation and discussion informing the AMSA members about the acute refugee crisis situation in the Chad/Darfur region. Marnie Lamm, an AMSA member briefed on the history of the conflict, and other members added any additional information they knew. I then gave a powerpoint presentation on the UNHCR involvement in the area in helping refugees access tents, blankets, food provisions, and necessary health care. I also addressed the importance in staying informed on the issue, and to keep a watch on major news headlines.
