| Summary of project | The Dartmouth Medical School AMSA chapter collaborated with a number of other organizations to put together a conference for World Aids Day that highlighted the issues surrounding the state of global Aids. We invited a number of great speakers including Dr C Everett Koop, Dr Nils Daulaire and Senator Sununu (R-NH). In addition we had two main panels which included doctors, researchers and advocates. One panel addressed treatment strategies and the other addressed the role of health care systems in care delivery. Lastly, there were several workshops geared towards students targeting advocacy, international opportunities and others. |

| Lessons/suggestions | Better scheduling in terms of time. Start later, since our first keynote was at 9 AM and our attendance wasn't that great. Start early as there was a lot of juggling to do with various people's schedules. We were part of a much bigger effort and it took the collaboration of many groups to make the event happen, let alone be successful. |
