Summary of project We put small change boxes on campus and around local eateries to raise money for Chaltu Oli (sponsoring a child in Ethiopia affected by HIV/AIDS through We also sent money to Books For Africa to sponsor a set of encyclopedias for a classroom in Africa. We sold red ribbons and sold nachos on World AIDS Day. We handed out pamphelts on AIDS/HIV to raise awareness. We also wrote facts in chalk about HIV/AIDS around campus and set up graves to bring awareness about the impact the disease has on our world. We raised over $680 with all of these awareness fundraisers for Chaltu Oli and Books For Africa.

Project advertising It was advertised through email, and posters. For the most part I think it was successful. Almsot every member sold a bag of ten ribbons for a 1$ each for every red ribbon which raised most of our money. We got a Health Awareness organization on campus in

Lessons/suggestions We had to pay a campus fee for electricity for the crockpot to heat the nacho cheese--that was a bit expensive. I would suggest getting a portable crockpot at Target so no power is needed.

Comments If you can put a change box at 7/11 you will make a lot of money from change. For the nacho sell plan a month ahead of time there was a lot of campus paper work: reserving the campus space, catering approval form, health safety approval form, power eleact
