| Summary of project | Preliminary surveys of the Year I-II medical students of Keck indicated a profound lack of understanding of the medical and ethical implications of pharmaceutical advertising. To make our student body more receptive to AMSA’s PharmFree message, we organized a “PharmFree Debate” event, at which students and faculty on both sides of the issue explained their rationale for their viewpoint. Brian Hurley, a Keck student and AMSA Officer, and favorite faculty were featured in the debate, increasing attendance and enhancing the entertainment value of the event. |
