Summary of project We held a 5K run/walk for the HomeCare Physicians foundation of the Central Dupage hospital. We had 51 runners and their families present. We were able to raise more than $1000 for charity.

Coordinator roles As the coordinators we had to recruit sponsors for breakfast, and the prizes. Mark and label the course, obtain proper licenses and permits. Manage timing, registrations, shirt design and printing, as well as all logistical issues associated with arrangin

Funding breakdown of sources and/or donations: Our main costs came in form of shirts for the runners, the sponsorships from various local businesses were able to cover the costs of the shirts. Various prizes, and breakfast were also donated by local businesses.
Project advertising Our local running store sent out a mass email to 7000 local area runners, we canvassed the downtown area of our city, as well as placed flyers and signup forms in stores throughout the city.

Lessons/suggestions We should have started to market earlier, and started working on logistical issues much earlier. Although our event didn't have any major glitches, we could have gotten atleast 50 more runners if we had started marketing earlier. The bulk of our marketing
