| Summary of project | In lieu of World AIDS Day, we did a raffle with four prizes (two GAP RED sweaters and two NYCOM AMSA t-shirts) to raise money for a small organization "YOUTH AGAINST AIDS" in Ghana. It is an organization one of our AMSA members worked with a few summers ago, that is desperately always in need of funds, supplies, etc. We raised in profit $120. We held the raffle for one week and a half and sold $1 per ticket). We sent the organization a letter and a check of $120. |

| Lessons/suggestions | It was a small fundraiser, but it could have been more successful we had raised the price of the raffle tickets or sold them in booklets. Also, we could have had pictures from the organization so that it caught the eyes of our classmates and faculty. |
