Summary of project Premedical students, local physicians, and representatives from the local medical school ate dinner and discussed various aspects of medicine. It gave premeds the opportunity to ask questions regarding the medical school admission process as well as questions regarding specialty concerns and medicine in general.

Project advertising Fliers on campus and announcements at local AMSA meetings. Physicians received invitations. Premedical student advertising did not work quite as well

Lessons/suggestions More publicity on campus. Premed turnout was low. Possibly needed a speaker from an area in medicine either before or after dinner. Make sure to get invitations out to doctors early, and it works better if you have connections with a local medical scho

Comments Make sure to start planning early. It takes a month or so to get together a nice dinner. We charged AMSA members a discounted rate (in comparison to the cost of the meal), non-members were charged $2 more than the cost of the meal, and all physicians, m
