Summary of project The conference included programs that were directed at premedical students, medical students and physicians, respectively. Physicians received Continuing Medical Education hours for their attendance through Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, Dr. Keith Gary, Program Director at the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute gave the opening address and Dr. Michael Pierschbacher, Senior Vice President of Integra Life Sciences in San Diego gave the closing address. The program also included a complimentary brunch, spousal program and free babysitting.

Comments The premedical program was well attended, but it is difficult to attract medical students and physicians. Be prepared for low attendance in these sectors.
