| Summary of project | At the PULSE Kick-Off, Loyola hosted PULSE (Provise United with Loyola Students for Educational Enrichment) high-school students and their parents and provided dinner. We then had a "ceremony" in which the Proviso administrators, Loyolan students, and the AMSA coordinator gave speeches regarding the vision of PULSE and a calendar of events. Then the med. students mentors handed a T-shirt and wrist-band to their mentee as their name was called. After the ceremony, mentors and mentees paired off, exchanged contact info, and socialized. |
