| Summary of project | UVA SOM's AMSA chapter invited the UVA Campus Director and Founder of Building Tomorrow: Destination Kampala to come and speak about the organization and how medical students can get involved. The organization seeks to raise funds and awareness to build schools in Kampala, Uganda for vulnerable children impacted by HIV/AIDS. The emphasis was placed on the fact that we do not need to wait until we have an M.D. behind our names to begin doing work to affect international health issues. |
