Summary of project We hosted a charity 3-on-3 basketball event to raise awareness and money for the Nothing But Nets Foundation. We helped raise over $1000, which helps send 100 mosquito nets and anti-malarial education to families in Africa. We held the event at a local basketball court. Team registration, raffle ticket sales and business donations helped raise all the funds.

Project advertising Advertisement via email and word-of-mouth. We help a school night at a local BBQ place the evening before the event in order to raise more money and promote the event.

Lessons/suggestions Recruited more sponsors to raffle off more prizes. Posting flyers around the community would have helped. Make sure to thank all sponsors involved. We even had faculty donate several gift baskets along with Starbucks.

Comments Plan ahead. Advertise as much as possible in order to boost donations and event attendance.
