Summary of project We co-sponsored and organized two different educational events to teach students about Referenda C & D, important Colorado legislation for the funding of higher education and healthcare in our state. The first was a talk over the lunch hour and the second was an evening training for walking neighborhoods to get out the vote. We also organized a rally on the steps of our state capital in which Colorado State Senator Ken Gordon and Colorado Medical Society Director Alfred Gilcrest, as well as several students. It was attended by members of press and appeared on a short spot on the local evening news.

Project advertising E-mail, announcements, signs in the classrooms. We could have used more advance notice that our main speaker for the rally was confirmed, and I think many more would have attended.

Lessons/suggestions We could have used even more promotion for the rally, and the speakers confirmed attending too late to get the word out that they would be there more than a day or two prior to the rally. The educational events were fairly well attended. We went through
