| Project advertising | Emails and fliers. They worked far better than I expected. Emails to people that are involved in "networks" worked the best-it's kind of tapping into a group of folks rather than just individuals. |

| Lessons/suggestions | Unfortunately, the talk had to be on a Friday night, which is never a good time to ask people to stick around campus. The more advertising the better. In essentially only four days of advertising, nearly 50 folks showed up. I believe that's a credit to the importance of the topic. So the early the advertising, the better the turnout (especially from neighboring institutions). To get involved in such an event really only entails contact the organization and then going from there. I do recommend having some snacks for the audience (it's a draw and holds them over for the lenght of the talk). |
