| Summary of project | Proposal 2 concerns banning affirmitive action and is on the ballot in the state of Michigan for the 2006 midterm elections. Many student groups coordinated this lunch to educate the student body on what the ramifications of the proposal would be for the state in general, and for the University of Michigan specifically. The first part of the talk focused on education and presented an unbiased view of the pros and cons of proposal 2. The second half of the talk was conducted by the dean of admissions at the medical school, who discussed how the proposal would affect the incoming class. |

| Lessons/suggestions | This was one of the most successful lunches of the year. I credit the high attendance to the fact that the lunch was a collaboration between 7 diverse student groups. Also, we attempted to present the pros and cons of proposal 2 with equal weight and maintain the purpose of the lunch as purely informational, as opposed to persuasive. |
