Summary of project Around sixty students were present from different disciplines at the UW including medicine, public health, social work, public policy, business and anthropology. In addition several faculty members came to show their support. The two big issues discussed were 1) what issues we want to work on and 2) how will we go about doing that.

The entire group voted on the issues that came up through the House Meetings we have been holding the last two months and the issues that we decided to take up are:

Health Policy/Reform Food Security Built environment/environmental health Access to care Womens Health Community Health Education Racial/Ethnic health disparities Immigrant Health Rural health

Comments The Founding Assembly was the culmination of two quarters of organizational development and outreach. The success we had is based on the groundwork done beforehand.
