Summary of project We organized an arts and crafts day for kids who have been victims of abuse. Our projects focused on things that would be helpful in their therapy sessions, such as decorating journals and picture frames. This was a good opportunity to engage the kids as part of the “Health Cares About Domestic Violence” day. We also raised awareness about domestic violence on campus by doing a clothesline project, posting facts/statistics about domestic violence, and passing out purple ribbons to serve as reminders after the event was over.

Success rating
(1 = unsuccesful, 5 = very successful)
Lessons/suggestions I think it was very successful. It would be good to make sure the kids all find out that it is going on, although we had a pretty good turnout. We guessed very well on the amount of art supplies we needed, but I don’t know how you would repeat those guess
