| Summary of project | AMSA's GAF presented an update on some important HIV/AIDS issues on health workers for Africa and access to essential medicines as well as the need to reform the dangerous proposed funding formulas for people with AIDS in Ohio that will cut care and support services under the Ryan White Care Act. and a "training" on tips and tools to effectively get answers to your questions at campaign appearances. With the upcoming elections and 08 presidential election, these skills will be key. |

| Lessons/suggestions | The session would have been much more interesting if had had more time, but we could only give the presenters an hour, so they had to squeeze a two hour program into one hour. However, it's really hard to keep busy medical students in one place for two straight hours. |

| Comments | There was another event scheduled at the same time as ours, but because we had Thi food (not Pizza) and provocative posters people flocked to our meeting, event though the other meeting was being held in the first year classroom and second years did not have a class (therefore no reason to stay in the building) immediately before the event. |
