Summary of project CAFP Student Panel. The California Association of Family Practice offers a $1000 scholarship to 50 MS1s during the summer to participate in a 4-week 'preceptorship' at participating FP clinics. In coordination with our FMIG, we had 7 or our 9 participants present; each outlined his/her experience, then opened for questions from the audience, mostly MS1s. This was Primary Care en Vivo!

Project advertising Class email, and--very late--we put up NPCW flyers. Would have helped to get these up earlier, I think, but our 'ad committee' remained largely 'ad hoc' and unorganized, so others chipped in at the last minute to make it happen.
Success rating
(1 = unsuccesful, 5 = very successful)
Lessons/suggestions More advertising w/in MS1 class. But still we had attendance at over 2/3 of the class! More FOOD (altho we have an ongoing debate about whether an AMSA event should promote the concept of a 'free' lunch!...). (FMIG, technically, 'sponsored' the lunch.

Comments This was our FIRST event of the week, of the FIRST time we've ever done anything for NPCW here @ UCI--so in that sense alone it was a HUGE success.
