| Lessons/suggestions | It was very helpful to let students know about this event ahead of time, and those who were working on putting this together contributed by contacting 1-2 possible speakers. The planning took about 3-4 weeks and at the end we had gathered 7 excellent panelists. It was striking that more than 50% of the audience were guys... and so it would've been better to have had some men on the panel. Since the event was about childbearing, we had included only women who had gone through this during their medical training or were currently pregnant. We ended up holding a series of panels and the next one included male panelists. |

| Comments | Definitely advertise ahead of time (a week works well) and ask for RSVP's to know how much food to bring. |
