Summary of project Week-long symposium featuring daily lunch-time speakers on the issue of Domestic Violence. Lunch was provided. We also put together a display that had pictures of domestic violence victims, statistics, and ways for the medical community to help. We ended the week with a benefit concert at a local pub. All the money we raised was donated to local shelters.

Project advertising Fliers hung around campus, mailbox stuffers, and emails. We had a large showing for the daily speakers but not for the benefit concert.

Lessons/suggestions We should have planned the benefit concert on a different day. Many of the students were out of town and we didn't have a very good showing.

Comments Call your local shelters and get them involved. They have a ton of information and resources and they love to help educate the medical community.
