| Summary of project | During this lunchtime lecture we invited a MD/PhD to discuss various aspects of the Malaysian culture. During the hour long meeting, we were educated on the diverse cultures that live in Malaysia, some of their values, the impact that rapid economic development has had on healthcare, and emerging health problems in the country. Included were some unique health problems that Malaysia has faced: parasites, insect borne illness, and the development of chronic deseases in the culture. The event was co-sponsored by APAMSA. |
