Summary of project The panelists included a physician at a local GLBT health center, a social worker specializing in GLBT health, and two transgender "patients." Disparities of GLBT healthcare were presented and discussed. The clinicians offered suggestions for working with GLBT patients and the "patients" discussed their experiences in the healthcare system.

Project advertising We posted the event on the campus' organization event page online, put up large posters throughout campus (weeks before the event), made announcements in class, and had our Dean send out an email requesting everyone's attendance.

Lessons/suggestions The cost of the panel was so high because we gave $50 stipends to each speaker, splurged on food to lure students to the event, and handed out information packets to a 200 person audience. Our audience (students and faculty) was large (for us) because we
