We are looking for a leader who is interested in helping design, plan and implement the LGBT Leadership Summit this year. Your responsibilities will include organizing speakers, workshops and activities for the day and a half summit and following up with Summit participants after the event. The Gender and Sexuality committee members will serve as support during the planning process and would help with programming during the Summit. Additionally, you will be funded to come to the Summit.

The Summit of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Medical School Chapter Leaders brings together LGBT medical student leaders throughout the country in mutual discussion around how to start a new LGBT medical student group or continue a successful one at their institutions and within their communities. The participants will be involved in a day-and-a-half summit focusing on leadership development, ‘best-practices’ in LGBT Health curricular advocacy, student-organized activism, social programming, and other elements of medical student organizing. The Summit also provides an opportunity to interact with experts and community leaders in LGBT health. Summit participants are also expected to follow-up regularly with the coordinators so that their projects remain supported and moving forward. This year will be the third year of the Summit.
