Gay 101 - LGBT/Plus One Curriculum
- Fellowship in LGBT Health Research
01/01/2009 Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine offers a one-year fellowship in LGBT health research that is completed between the second and third years of training. Fellows will work closely with NSU's Behavioral Health Promotion team members in addition to conducting their own research on LGBT-related issues. Benefits: Tuition waived for M3 and M4 years; first choice of core campus for clinical training. Selection Criteria: Up to two applicants may be chosen based on: academic performance, research aptitude, and interest in LGBT health issues. - Elective rotation in Gay Men's Health
01/01/2009 An one-month elective rotation in gay men's health is available for 4th year medical students. This is precepted by Dr. Todd Fralich, a Fort Lauderdale physician who is board certified in HIV medicine and caters to the gay community. This rotation also counts as a rural (underserved) elective. Total event hours: 1
