  • National Coming Out Day - October 11, 2010

    Every Oct. 11, thousands of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people and allies celebrate National Coming Out Day. They hold workshops, speak-outs, rallies and other kinds of events all aimed at showing the public that LGBTQ people are everywhere.

  • Day of Silence - April 15, 2011
    The National Day of Silence brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Each year the event has grown, and now hundreds of thousands of students participate to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior. Founded in 1996, the Day of Silence has become the largest single student-led action towards creating safer schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

  • 28th Annual GLMA Conference - Sept. 22-25, 2010
    GLMA’s Annual Conference, the world’s largest gathering of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied healthcare professionals, offers continuing medical education (CME) credits, continuing education units (CEUs) and the opportunity to network and socialize with LGBT healthcare professionals and allies from across the United States, Canada, and from other countries.

  • LGBT Studies at Yale
    LGBT Studies at Yale University supports the LGBTQ community at Yale through academic programs including courses, lectures, conferences and symposia, special events, and community building activities. It is possible to major in Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies and elect the Lesbian and Gay Studies track, or secure a graduate qualification in the field. There are several undergraduate and graduate student organizations representing the diversity and interest of this community at Yale.
