Welcome to NSU-COM's homepage!
The mission of the GLMA Student Chapter at NSU-COM is (1) to support gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender health professions students by providing a safe and supportive environment, advocating for their rights against discrimination, and providing resources to make their medical education a positive experience, (2) to advocate for GLBT patients, by advocating the inclusion of GLBT health issues in school curricula and improving the quality of patient care through physician sensitivity, and (3) to break down the prejudices and misconceptions concerning GLBT people that act as a barrier to education and patient care.
