Promote awareness of LGBT medical issues in the University of Michigan Medical School by:
1. Regular reviews of curricula
2. Outreach activities including lunch-time discussions and mentorship opportunities in the University undergraduate program
Establish professional contacts and networking opportunities with medical professionals for students through the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA), LGBT People in Medicine (AMSA), UMMS and University Health Services
Provide a socially supportive environment for LGBT students and allies at UMMS and within the University’s graduate schools
Serve as a resource for UMMS individuals or groups requesting information about conferences, community activities and supportive venues.
