Welcome to PCOM's homepage!
The PCOM LGBTPM student group mission is to educate the PCOM community and broader public about the unique and often overlooked health care needs of LGBT patients. In an effort to improve understanding, quality of care, and physician sensitivity toward LGBT patients, educational programs, dialogues and forums are conducted regularly on campus. Equally important is to provide an environment for LGBT students that is supportive and enpowering. Finally, we promote student participation in events such as: AIDSWalk, OutFest, Equality Forum, Gay Bingo, Blue Ball, and Philadelphia International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, and community service with MANNA, GLSEN, The Mazzoni and William Way Centers, and The Attic.
