Welcome to SUNY Downstate's homepage!
Downstate Queers & Allies was formed over 4 years ago and now has a membership of over 50 students. The group provides a community for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students as well as allies. We run educational programs for the school on issues related to LGBT health care, have social events both as a group and with other LGBTPM groups in the NYC area, and provide community service with our annual "Coming Out of the Closet" clothing drive. We are a very active group in a welcoming environment.
