Welcome to UMDNJ-NJMS's homepage!
The NJMS Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Allied People in Medicine organization serves to (1) promote LGBT medical professionals' advancement and recognition in the field as well as (2) advocate for our LGBT patient population. We serve to be a support group for those GLBT students in a traditionally conservative field by monthly meetings and events. We also hold workshops to bring all students some awareness of GLBT issues in healthcare and give a face to these patients. There is also attention brought to the struggles GLBT physicians might face in the field in addition to admiration to those that proudly came before us.
