Saying Goodbye

She is not good at saying goodbye,
Even when they baked her a big cherry pie.
She wants to go everywhere,
but not to leave behind the friends that are fair,
or the rabbits and deer that give her the stare.

She has never been good at saying goodbye,
Tears came out as she tried to describe her next affair.
Sometimes a farewell is really a farewell,
she knows many of them will not write or reply,
maybe because it is harder to hug her voice in the air.

As far as I can say,
she is never going to be good at saying goodbye,
since she has failed in the years past,
not even once were her eyes dry,
thanking those who baked her the big cherry pie.
